AMAZON MGM ACQUIRES FILM "MAN ON THE RUN"

In an exclusive deal, Amazon MGM Studios has purchased Man on the Run, an insightful documentary that explores Paul McCartney's career revival following the split of The Beatles. Directed by Oscar-winner Morgan Neville, known for 20 Feet from Stardom, the film is set to debut at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend.

This acquisition is the first step in a major collaboration between Paul McCartney, Universal Music Group, and Amazon. Over the next year, this partnership will also bring exclusive new music, unique merchandise from Amazon Music, and personal commentary from McCartney himself.

This collaboration is happening at the same time as several other major projects for Paul McCartney. His book, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run, will be released on Amazon, Get your Copy: H E R E and Audible on November 4, and he's also on his Got Back tour across North America this fall, get your ticketes: H E R E .

From director Morgan Neville, the documentary Man on the Run chronicles Paul McCartney's journey after the Beatles disbanded, focusing on his life with his wife Linda and the creation of their new band, Wings.

The film offers a unique and intimate look at this period, using rare footage to show the challenges and triumphs McCartney faced while forging a new path in the music world.

Produced by Tremolo, in partnership with MPL and Polygram Entertainment, the film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release before becoming available globally on Prime Video on February 25.
