Ringo’s radiogram is to go under the hammer as part of a Beatles auction.
The custom built radiogram was built for Ringo and Maureen Starr when
they lived at 34 Montagu Square, London in 1965. It is a quality piece
with a Garrad Record deck, Leak AMP and Armstrong Tuner with twin
speakers.
Ringo gave the radiogram to his Auntie Everley and Uncle Jim at 59
Madrin Street, Liverpool, which was Ringo`s Grandad`s house. It has been
in Auntie Everleys` possession since 1966 and has just surfaced after
almost 50 years.
A photograph of Ringo with Maureen sat on the Radiogram can be seen on the original photographer Henry Grossman under “truth about the girls 34 Montagu Square, London.”
The Radiogram is just one of the many lots in Liverpool`s Beatles Memorabilla Auction at LIPA on August 29 2015.
The Beatles Shop, Mathew Street, Liverpool are hosting the auction at
LIPA and this year will be the 24th year. They are still accepting lots
for this years sale.
