They joined forces for the first time in five years at Sunday night's Grammy Awards performing Paul McCartney's song Queenie Eye with Ringo Starr on drums.
And Beatles fans were in for even more of a treat just 24 hours later when the two remaining rock legends got together again at a special tribute concert, marking 50 years since The Beatles appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Katy Perry, John Mayer, and Alicia Keys were just some of the stars taking the stage at The Los Angeles Convention Centre in Downtown Los Angeles on Monday night.
The show featured many of the music
icons who had performed at the prestigious awards ceremony the previous
evening including Stevie Wonder and Keith Urban.
The concert was being taped to air on February 9 - 50 years exactly after the Beatles' historic performance on The Ed Sullivan Show
Their appearance is considered the beginning of the British invasion in America during the 1960s and drew a then-record 73 million viewers.

Paul was on top form after rocking out at the Grammys just 24 hours earlier
According to the Grammy website, the performance 'is considered by many historians and critics as one of the most important moments in music and television.'
Paul took the stage for the finale, dressed smartly in a three-piece suit and white shirt while Ringo sang and played the drums, sporting his trademark sunglasses in a black T-shirt and suit jacket.
Paul, 71, and Ringo, 73, are the only remaining Beatles following the deaths of lead guitarist George Harrison from lung cancer back in 2001 and John Lennon, who was murdered in 1980.
However, the late Beatles members were represented at the gig with Harrison's son Dhani performing alongside Joe Walsh and Jeff Lynne.
Lennon's widow Yoko Ono and his son Sean Lennon were also in the audience alongside McCartney his wife Nancy, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson.
In one of the show's highlights, Pharrell Williams sung to a performance from the Cirque Du Soleil troupe of dancers from the hit Las Vegas show Love, which is set to Beatles songs.

'What I felt was important was to try and
find those artists who not only would be able to interpret Beatles
songs, but would also have an understanding of what they meant,' Grammys
producer Ken Ehrlich said about the artists performing at the concert.
President/CEO of The Recording Academy Neil Portnow added: 'The Beatles are one of music's most iconic groups, who won their first two Grammys, including one for Best New Artist in 1964 - the same year they took America by storm.

'As the Grammy Awards are Music's Biggest Night, it's only fitting that we recognize this milestone moment in music history and pay tribute to this larger than life group and their enduring music and legacy.'
Sporting a draped tent style white and black floral dress, Katy Perry also sung an emotional number, after boyfriend John Mayer had rocked out with Keith Urban.
Alicia Keys and John Legend duetted on pianos for their performance, with the singer wearing a black hat and plunging vest top.
Clearly enjoying themselves, the couple embraced after their show.
There was also a strong showing from the acting world, with Sean Penn, Kate Beckinsale and Johnny Depp along the presenters on stage.

'Playing a gig with the Beatles tonight. Casual,' he wrote on his Twitter page before the gig.
Other performers included Adam Levine and Maroon Fiv, while Gary Clark also took the stage with Joe Walsh.
