GEOFF Baker - former PR to Paul McCartney - says”Rock Bottom”, his first book which takes an irreverent and racy look at the rock industry - is a work of “complete and utter fiction”.

It took him six years to get into print because none of the mainline publishers would touch it with a microphone stand for fear of litigation.

In the end Geoff’s old boss Macca gave him the green light but he still had to form his own publishing company to get it into print.
