PAUL ON MAN WHO KILLED JOHN: HE´S THE "JERK OF ALL JERKS"

Paul spoke about initially hearing the news of John’s death in 1980 and his thoughts on shooter Mark Chapman during an appearance on ‘The Jonothan Ross Show.’ ‘This is just a jerk, this is not even a gut politically motivated, it's just some total random thing,’ Paul said.

Paul has called John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman the "jerk of all jerks."
Speaking on a British television show, the former Beatle also said he felt "very lucky" to have repaired the rift between him and Lennon before Lennon was gunned down outside his New York apartment 34 years ago.
Speaking on “The Jonathan Ross Show,” Paul said of Chapman: "The phrase kept coming into my head 'the jerk of all jerks.' It was just like, 'This is just a jerk, this is not even a gut politically motivated, it's just some total random thing.’"
He also recalled the moment when he first heard the news.
"I just for days couldn't think that he was gone … it was just a huge shock," said Sir Paul.
"I was at home and got a phone call. It was early in the morning … it was just so horrific, you couldn't take it in and I couldn't take it in.
John and Paul didn't speak for each other for four years after the Beatles split up in 1970.
Paul said things "got really crappy over business" between the pair.
He said the fighting between them became "boring" and they ended up bonding again over "normal stuff."
