PAUL TICKETS SELL OUT IN 30 MINUTES: ALBANY

Thirty minutes, that's how long it took for every seat in the Times Union Center to be sold for the Paul concert. General manager, Bob Belber says the Paul concert was one of the top two or three sellouts in TU Center history.
Garth Brooks still holds the record from when he sold out three concerts in 20 minutes back in the late 90s. "I didn't think he would ever come to Albany," says McCartney fan, Dotti Attwood. "I'm really excited that we might get tickets, I saw the Beatles back in 1966, so this will be great."

The concert also came as a big surprise for soon to be bride and long-time McCartney fan, Kristi Van Patten, "The wedding was already planned and then my friends mother called to say, 'guess what, Paul McCartney is coming for your wedding day.' I said well we're going to have to move the ceremony."' Van Patten plans on going to the concert in her wedding dress, and she has one request for Paul: "Please play Silly Love songs, please!"

Paul will play at the TU Center on July 5th at 8 p.m. Arena officials are saying this event will be the biggest Albany has seen in over a decade.
