By phone, El Pais interviewed Paul McCartney who is rehearsing in Los Angeles:
You said he has no plans to retire from the stage. Which is the secret to staying in shape and with so much strength and inspiration to continue making music?
-. I love music, I love playing live and making records . What do you think when you see the Rolling Stones still together and playing? If John and George were alive, do you think the Beatles could have returned to activity? Why not?

they were alive, we could have worked together again, but saying that

- I'm always working on new things , I'm always writing. Now I am doing a animated film for children based on a children's book I wrote a few years ago. I customized music for this film and I also am involved in the production . But will take a few years yet.
What is your album of favorite Beatles and why?
- This question is very difficult for me because the discs are like your children : not to have a single favorite. I could not tell which is my favorite song , because I could list .
It is true that attends concerts of young stars to stay updated ?
Yes, it's true. I go to many concerts , because, actually, I really like the live performances. To my wife Nancy also loves to go , it's always a good night. How have you changed your way of composing over the years?
