A souvenir card signed by all four Beatles is projected to command thousands of pounds after remaining in the care of a Birmingham school dinner lady for 63 years.
Rose Moulder was employed by Birmingham City Council’s catering service, where her role involved hosting performers appearing at the city’s Town Hall from October 1961 to March 1969. Among these were legendary acts like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Kinks, and Bob Dylan. Rose gathered signatures from each of them and kept the items safely stored at home. Following her passing several years ago, her cherished assortment of memorabilia is now heading to auction at Auctioneum Ltd in Bristol, where the full lot could surpass £4,000.
In total, the collection features seven autograph books filled with stars of that era, alongside numerous event programs and signed pictures. The standout piece—the postcard featuring signatures from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—is anticipated to fetch over £3,000 on its own.
The Fab Four performed at Birmingham Town Hall on June 4, 1963, right as Beatlemania was breaking out. The tour initially launched with Roy Orbison headline-billed and The Beatles opening for him; however, by the time they hit Birmingham, The Beatles had taken top billing. Securing such a clean and distinct set of autographs from this precise moment is extraordinary—a true "holy grail" for Beatles enthusiasts.
Bidding will take place through an online-only auction hosted by Auctioneum, closing on October 22.
