“THE DAYS WE LEFT BEHIND” DEBUTS WITHIN THE TOP 10

Coming later this spring, Paul will drop a fresh record titled The Boys of Dungeon Lane.

The collection, slated for late May, will represent his first solo output in over five years, and it is poised to perform exceptionally well on international charts.

The project's lead single, “The Days We Left Behind,” lands on one Billboard ranking this week, securing the icon yet another American top 10 hit.

“The Days We Left Behind” only manages to surface on one specific list published by Billboard this cycle.

While McCartney and his team were likely aiming for a more massive reaction in the U.S., the fact that the track premiered within the top 10 is a definite victory.

This week, “The Days We Left Behind” enters at No. 7 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart, which tracks the most popular tracks categorized as rock on digital storefronts like iTunes and Amazon.

With the debut of “The Days We Left Behind” on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart, Paul McCartney has secured his fourth hit as a solo artist.

While this new entry represents his lowest-charting success among those four, it still outperformed several prior tracks that failed to reach the top tier.

Paul McCartney came remarkably close to topping the charts under his own billing in 2023. This occurred with a revamped version of The Beatles’ masterpiece “Let It Be,” led by Dolly Parton for her Rockstar album. Despite featuring a rare reunion of the surviving Beatles—McCartney and Ringo Starr—the collaboration stalled at No. 2.

His other notable solo successes include “Come On to Me” and the seasonal staple “Wonderful Christmastime,” which reached No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Notably, his holiday classic achieved its new personal best just recently, right before the conclusion of the most recent festive season.
