Furthermore, December 10, 1965, was also significant for the results of the annual New Musical Express (NME) readers' poll.
The publication revealed that The Beatles had swept the top categories, being named the Top British Group and the Top World Group.
Individually, John Lennon received the distinction of Best British Vocal Personality, recognizing him as Britain's premier male vocalist.
