The show "With A Little Help From My Friends" is filmed in Studio 4 of The Television Centre in Leeds, Yorkshire, on December 14, 1969. A tribute program to George Martin, it aired on December 24, 1969.
Ringo Starr was among the guests who participated in the television special alongside Dudley Moore, The Hollies, Blue Mink, Lulu, Spike Milligan, and 40 members of the George Martin Orchestra.
Ringo performed a playback of "Octopus's Garden." To comply with the Musicians' Union's ban on miming on British television, some parts of the song had been re-recorded on December 8th to give the impression of a live performance.
