Joe Walsh has recorded a new rock anthem called “Dig It” with his brother-in-law Ringo Starr, that serves as the soundtrack for the JCB company’s DIGatron monster truck.
The song, which premiered Saturday, July 13, in London during the Monster Jam event, marks the launch of a long-term charitable partnership between JCB and Walsh’s VetsAid organization and annual benefit concert.
The partnership will raise awareness and funds for U.S. veterans through the power of rock and the transformative process of rebuilding. “Dig It” is an uplifting call-to-action to support the vital mission of VetsAid.”
The track boasts some fun simple vocals, slide-guitar work and solos from Walsh. It also features Ringo on drums.
Walsh and his family founded VetsAid in 2017 in an effort to support various veterans charities throughout the U.S. Walsh has hosted a star-studded VetsAid benefit concert in different locations each year since 2017. The 2024 edition of the event will take place November 11 in Queens, New York. To date, VetsAid has donated more than $3.3 million to veterans service groups.
