This week, "The Beatles 1" the hits-laden collection reappears on two of the most competitive charts published by Billboard, and it’s already spent years on both of them.
"The Beatles 1" lands highest on the Top Rock & Alternative
Albums chart. The set appears at No. 46 on the 50-spot list of the
most-consumed full-lengths and EPs that Billboard classifies as some kind of rock or alternative, when it comes to genre.
At the same time, the compilation is also back on the Billboard 200. On that roster, which is known as the most important for albums in the U.S., The Beatles are back at No. 181.
"The Beatles 1" has already spent hundreds of weeks on both tallies. On the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart, The Beatles’ favorite has racked up 315 stays. That number is much higher on the Billboard 200, where it’s already spent 545 frames somewhere on the list.
Abbey Road returned to the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart last week in something of a surprise move. It landed at No. 50, in last place, and then quickly disappeared. The period before, 1 ranked just one rung higher, at No. 49.
