After an incredible 18 year run exclusively at The Mirage in Las Vegas, the Cirque Du Soleil production of The Beatles’ Love is coming to an end.
The final date will be 7th July 2024, coinciding with the closure of The Mirage (as it becomes a Hard Rock Hotel) with final week tickets on sale soon. Currently they’re selling tickets up until 29th June. No doubt they’ll be doing something special for that final week, as they did for the 50th Anniversary of Sgt. Peppers.
Here’s a few facts about the show that organisers have shared in the wake of the announcement:
-Since opening, the multi-talented cast has represented 44 nationalities from around the globe, and currently includes 11 original company members from the show’s inception.
-There are 11,600 costume pieces, 250 pairs of shoes, and 225 wigs each night.
-The production involves 750,000 lumens in projections and more than 500 props and scenic pieces.
-Over the course of its 18-year run, LOVE’s audiences have been showered with 13.5 tons of confetti during the show’s finale.
-The Love Theater at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is also home to the official Beatles shop, the only licensed Beatles retail store in the world.
-The album for the show – produced and mixed by the Beatles’ original producer George Martin and his son Giles Martin is the only Cirque soundtrack to win a Grammy.
The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil performs Tuesday – Saturday at 7 and 9:30 p.m, inside The Love Theater at The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Tickets are on sale now for shows until June 29th, with final week tickets (through July 7th) on sale soon.
