The Beatles are seen relaxing on a First Class Pan Am flight to New York in candid never-before-seen photos taken two days before their US debut on the Ed Sullivan Show
They're being flogged for £16,000 alongside a flight menu signed by the band

While most of the 10 images are blurry, there is a clear snap showing John Lennon say with his first wife Cynthia. Others feature John, George and Ringo, with their manager Brian Epstein and record producer Phil Spctor also making an appearance.

Never-before-seen photos of The Beatles on their first flight to the US, the official beginning of what the world would soon know as 'Beatlemania,' have emerged for sale for £16,000.
Alongside the 10 black and white snaps is a Pan Am flight menu, signed by John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

The images were taken flying first class from London to New York on February 7, 1964, they were set to perform on the hugely popular US show two days later - a pivotal moment that catapulted them into international stardom.

These previously hidden images were taken by American businessman Robert Kinderman, who was also in first class, and whose teenager daughter Carol was a huge Beatles fan.

He approached the band, who signed the flight menu for him while also posing for pictures.

Now, sixty years on, Carol is selling the one of a kind signatures and photos from the iconic period in time at Heritage Auctions, of Dallas, Texas, US - with the sale taking place on Saturday.

A Heritage Auctions spokesperson said:

'This is a set of signatures that transcends autograph collecting and even Beatle collecting. 'The flight menu was signed on February 7, 1964 as the Beatles travelled from London to New York, en route to arguably the most important single performance of their careers. 'It is absolutely a piece of pop culture history and marks the beginning of Beatlemania in the United States.'
