JULIAN LENNON AND SEAN LENNON ARE PLANNING TO COLLABORATE ON A MUSICAL PROJECT IN THE FUTURE

Julian Lennon discussed his close relationship with his brother on the Bill Maher podcast.

“We’ve talked about it. We have a plan at some point, when we both have the time to do it,” Julian told Bill Maher on an episode of his Club Random podcast that will air on Monday. “Yes, there’s something we want to do together. We want to play around with an idea. I think it’s a nice idea. I have to wait and see. I’m not winding you up, but it’ll have its time and place.”

Julian didn't reveal much about the project, but acknowledged that there was something special about the idea of them working together, as it’s “the whole sibling thing and how our voices should sound together and do sound together.”

“Sean’s a good kid. I love him immensely,” Julian told Maher. “He’s incredibly talented, incredibly gifted. He works his ass off as a musician.”

He went on to praise his brother’s tireless work ethic, noting that Sean plays in multiple bands, and is almost always either playing, recording or producing.

“He’s always on. I’m very proud of him. I’ve kept my eye on him since he was a baby. I always took that mantle of, even when Dad passed away, ‘Whatever you need, I’m here. I’ve got your back,’” Lennon said. “His life isn’t so straightforward. There’s been many ups and downs for him, too.”

Julian — who added that he and Sean make an effort to FaceTime or Zoom every few weeks — released his seventh studio album Jude last September, while Sean has been a member of several bands over the years and has released two solo albums. He was also featured on Lana Del Rey’s 2017 album Lust for Life.

The brothers recently united in April to celebrate Julian’s 60th birthday over dinner in Paris.

Julian shared photos from his birthday dinner to social media, writing that he spent the night with his “nearest & dearest.”

"And Especially to the guy sitting to my left… Having you there made my night & day… ❤️🙏🏻😘," he wrote, referring to Sean, who left three red heart emojis in the comments section.

The musician previously opened last year about his relationship with his "best mate" Sean, and said they'd recently teamed up to attend a screening of Get Back together.

"We're brothers and we love each other deeply on that level," he said. "We just talk daily, same as anybody would."
