David Crosby Explains Why The Beatles Are Better Than The Rolling Stones...
"Mainly because of the range of the stuff they did," the musician said.
During a fan Q&A hosted by Rolling Stone, David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young fame was asked to "settle this once and for all - Beatles or Stones."
The musician replied: "The Beatles. Mainly because of the range of the stuff they did. The Stones did have a fairly wide range that they did, but The Beatles had a much wider range of writing that they could do.
"And The Beatles could sing harmony. The Stones can't do that for squat, but The Beatles can do it really well.
"It's a matter of personal taste, of course, but for me, Beatles, no question."

Is there ANY question. C'mon, man. The Stones had 66-70 and then rehashed that for decades. There were some memorable Stones moments, but every moment of The Beatles was a monstrous moment. Solo...not so much, but still more inventive than The Stones.
