Paul´s first Australian tour in 24 years has been confirmed.
His Australian promoter Frontier are currently sourcing questions from local Macca fans on its Facebook page.
The musical legend will select from those questions when he officially announces the tour tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
In a modern twist Paul will announce all the tour dates and ticketing details during a Facebook live Q and A session — again on Frontier’s Facebook page.
The interview will be hosted live from London by longtime McCartney fan, Aussie comedian Tim Minchin, who is flying in especially for the event.
Paul’s Australian tour dates will take place in December and will include a stop across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand.
No venues have been confirmed although a leak from Melbourne’s AAMI Park suggest McCartney will join the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and the Foo Fighters to play the outdoor venue which can hold around 35,000 fans.
Paul’s tour is expected to stretch further than the West Coast, and Adelaide fans are already hoping the rock icon doesn’t join the list of acts bypassing South Australia.
Paul has been courted by local promoters for the last decade, with Michael Gudinski winning the bidding war.
Paul has only toured Australia three times before — once with The Beatles in 1964, then with Wings in 1975 and his only solo trip in 1993.
Fans have flooded social media with excitement after teasers for the tour surfaced on Sunday, although The Herald Sun first revealed the likelihood on June 12.
Paul famously cancelled a tour in 2002, saying the tour was too close to grieving for the Bali bombing victims and he planned to reschedule.
Paul’s One on One tour has already played shows in Japan this year and will tour North and South America between July and October before heading down under.
