The British Music Experience is hosting an evening in conversation with record producer Steve Levine as part of Liverpool’s celebration of 50 years of the Beatles’ groundbreaking album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Steve will talk about the production work of producer Sir George Martin and visitors will also get to hear some of the newly released restored versions of the original master tapes for the first time.
George Martin and Steve had a lifelong friendship after first meeting while working on Sailor's fourth Album.
In those years they shared their love of all things record production and when Steve won The Producer of the Year Brit Award, Sir George Martin presented it to Steve. During the event, Steve will highlight Sir George’s work as a producer, arranger and, through his experiments with sound, a true technical innovator.
The event will take place from 6pm to 9pm at the British Music Experience in Liverpool’s Cunard Building. Tickets can be bought from the ticketing desk at the museum and are £5 in advance and £6 on the day.
The event is part of Liverpool's Sgt Pepper at 50 celebrations
