RINGO TO BRUNCH WITH CONTEST WINNER FOR DAVID LYNCH FOUNDATION

With donation, one fan will win free trip to Ringo's 77th birthday celebration in L.A., benefitting Lynch's organization

Ringo will host one charitable fan at his 77th birthday brunch on July 7th in Los Angeles to benefit the David Lynch Foundation. By making a minimum $10 donation through Omaze, participants will be entered into a giveaway; the winner (and a guest) will be flown to the event, where they'll join Starr and his friends at brunch, say "peace and love" alongside VIP guests in front of Capitol Records and stay at a four-star hotel.
In a video announcing the campaign,Ringo promoted his yearly birthday tradition, encouraging everyone to spread "peace and love" on July 7th noon local time. "Wherever you are: on the bus, in the factory, having dinner, having lunch," he says. "No matter what part of the world you're in."
Filmmaker David Lynch founded his titular organization in 2005 to help "prevent and eradicate the all-pervasive epidemic of trauma and toxic stress among at-risk population" through promoting the implementation of Transcendental Meditation.

Ringo and Lynch spoke about the wonders of TM in 2015. "Transcendental meditation takes you from the surface to the deepest level of life and it takes you there easily and effortlessly. You transcend," Lynch said. Ringo said of the practice, "When you reach any depth, it is unbelievable. You only know when you come out that you've actually gone somewhere else."
Ringo's former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney recently tracked bass guitar for the drummer's upcoming 19th solo LP, which follows 2015's Postcards From Paradise. Starr and His All-Starr Band recently announced a fall U.S. tour that kicks off October 13th with an eight-date stint at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
