PAUL TO PLAY LITTLE CAESARS ARENA IN OCTOBER

Detroit's new arena is getting a visit from rock royalty.

Paul McCartney will play Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 1, part of his ongoing One on One tour with his longtime band, which backs him for a marathon set list showcasing material from his Beatles, Wings and solo years. The stop is among a batch of U.S. dates being announced by McCartney this morning.

Tickets for the Detroit show are $59.50-$250 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday through Ticketmaster.com and the box offices at Joe Louis Arena and the Fox Theatre. Seats can also be purchased by phone at 800-745-3000.

The date marks a relatively quick return for McCartney, who was here in October 2015 for a Joe Louis Arena show.
Paul is part of a growing list of A-list acts for the opening weeks of Little Caesars Arena, which is replacing Joe Louis and, at some point, presumably the Palace of Auburn Hills.
