Julian has ruled out a musical get together with his late dad's songwriting partner Paul, because there would be too much pressure to come up with a Beatles sequel.
"They did it well enough," he tells Access Hollywood Live. "I would never even encroach on that in any way at all."
Julian admits he and Paul, who wrote the Beatles hit Hey Jude as an ode to his bandmate's son, are still close, but there's no chance they would ever get together in the studio or onstage.
"We have a cup of tea if we're in the same city," Julian says, "but the pressure on that front is a bit ridiculous, and I think it's easier left alone."
