The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame revealed the remaining inductors for its Class of 2017 today (March 29) with the announcement that ELO would be inducted by Dhani Harrison,
son of George Harrison. The former Beatles was a frequent collaborator
with ELO’s Jeff Lynne, most notably in the ’80s supergroup the Traveling Wilburys.
Also in today’s announcement was the news that Journey would be inducted by Train frontman Pat Monahan, Pharrell Williams would be doing the honors for Nile Rodgers and Snoop Dogg for Tupac Shakur‘s posthumous induction.
The Class of 2017 will be inducted on April 7 at the Barclays Center
in Brooklyn, NY.
Additional performers include Lenny Kravitz (in a special tribute
performance to Prince), Alicia Keys, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Indigo
Girls, and others.
The Rock Hall had previously revealed that Neil Young will induct Pearl Jam, Jackson Browne will do the honors for Joan Baez, and Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush will induct Yes.
The #RockHall2017 ceremony will once again exclusively premiere on HBO, on April 29 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
