The site of a school in south-east Liverpool once attended by Paul has been earmarked for a major housing development.
Compendium (Lovell Partnership) has submitted a full planning
application (pictured) to Liverpool City Council to regenerate land at
Naylorsfield Drive in Belle Vale.
The vacant site earmarked for redevelopment was formerly home to the Joseph Williams School until its closure in 1997.
Paul, who was born in 1942, attended Joseph Williams School from
1949 to 1953 before achieving global fame as part of The Beatles.
It is envisaged that there would be 110 houses for sale on the open
market, with 31 two-bed houses, 55 three-bed houses and 24 four-bed
houses. This application completes the original masterplan for the area.
Liverpool City Council has not yet set a date to consider the application.
