Indian fans of the Beatles have a reason to rejoice as music streaming
service Saavn has now made the legendary British rock band's timeless
hits available in the country.
Saavn has announced the exclusive release of the Beatles' catalogue of 13 re-mastered British studio albums and six essential collections, making the music of the legendary English rock band available for streaming for the first time on an Indian platform on Friday,
The Beatles' music first became available through streaming services to much of the world last December.
"The Beatles are one of the most iconic rock bands in the world. They represent music for all generations and it is like an honour for us to be bringing this music in India," Paramdeep Singh, Saavn's Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, told IANS.
"For so many years, the rights and catalogue has been held back from the public for variety of reasons, but fortunately it is now made available all over the world and we are bringing it to India. We want to bring it in a meaningful way. We want to make sure that fans are aware," he added.
The nineteen Beatles titles available for streaming include "Please Please Me", "With The Beatles", "A Hard Day's Night", "Beatles For Sale", "Help!", "Rubber Soul", "Revolver", "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Magical Mystery Tour", "The Beatles", "Yellow Submarine", "Abbey Road", "Let It Be", "The Beatles 1962 - 1966", "The Beatles 1967 - 1970", "Past Masters (Volumes 1 & 2)", "Anthology, Volumes 1, 2, & 3" and "Love".
