The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is suing a memorabilia company for selling an allegedly fake Grammy statue awarded to John Lennon in 1966.
Gotta Have It Rock and Roll is selling the gold-plated gramophone trophy purportedly awarded to Lennon in 1966 for co-writing the Beatles song “Michelle” with Paul McCartney.
Company owner Pete Siegel told The Post, “We’re not at fault here. The authenticity is 1,000 percent.”
