A cottage once owned by John’s family has been put on the market.
The property on Allerton Road, Woolton was lived in by many members of The Beatles Legend’s family - including his Aunt Mimi and his sisters.
John himself is also said to have stayed in the house, just around the corner from Mendips, a number of times during his childhood.
The cottage is named Dairy Cottage - owing to its original use as the original dairy for Woolton Village.
The two-bedroom property is described by estate agents Whitegates as a “piece of Beatles history.”

A description for the property reads: “Formerly owned by George Smith, husband of John Lennon’s Aunt Mimi, Lennon stayed here as an infant with his mother and frequently visited his sisters who continued to live here thereafter - convenient, as “Mendips” is just around the corner!
Substantially bigger than its exterior
suggests, the two-bedroom character property is set within the heart of
the conservation area. Dairy Cottage boasts an abundance of original
features through-out.”
The home is on the market for £325,000 with Whitegate’s Woolton branch.
