The Mason Street cinema is having a special showing of the film on Thursday, July 16, at 1pm.
Says Richie Baker: “It’s a special event, not to be missed.
“Everyone is welcome as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles' classic film.
“People can relax in the splendour of this beautiful old cinema and see the Fab Four on the big screen in ‘Living Colour’, hear great songs from the 60s and marvel at four boys who changed the world of pop music.”
And he adds: “We even have a good old fashioned interval for ice creams and coffee, and a talk will be given about the making of the film.”
Help! was directed by Richard Lester and, as well as starring The Beatles, featured Leo McKern, Eleanor Bron, Victor Spinetti, John Bluthal, Roy Kinnear and Patrick Cargill.
It was The Beatles’ second film and was a comedy adventure which saw the group come up against an evil cult.
