A new Grammy-related auction is offering a once-in-a-lifetime VIP experience with the world’s most famous rock star, Paul McCartney. Up for bid is the chance for two people to attend one of the former Beatles
legend’s upcoming concerts in Europe, as well as to meet Sir Paul
backstage and watch his soundcheck before the show. Proceeds will
benefit the MusiCares Foundation.
The winning bidder and a guest will get to check out the concert
of their choice from premium seats. Among the shows available are
McCartney’s May gigs in London, Birmingham and Liverpool, U.K.; his June
concerts in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Paris and Marseille, France; and
his July performances in Oslo, Norway, and Stockholm, Sweden. Travel
and lodging expenses are not included.
The experience is valued at $75,000. As of Wednesday night, bidding was at $11,500.
