Beatles autographs and pictures are went under the hammer at Eastbourne Auction Rooms
The four black and white images of the Beatles recording Within
You Without You in 1967 were taken by a small camera of the man who was
driving Indian musician Amrat Gajjar to the recording studios. They were
sold with full copyright.
The lot included a small leather note book with the signatures of the Beatles, although Ringo didn’t sign.
It had a guide price of between £2,000 and £3,000 but the hammer went down at £3.750.
Jeannette May, senior valuer at Eastbourne Auction Rooms, said there
had been a great deal of interest in the item and they were expecting
bids from America.
The photos and autographs of the Beatles were
listed as Lot 381 in the two-day Fine Art, Antiques and Collectables
Sale which took place on Thursday and Friday of last week in the
Eastbourne sale room in Finmere Road.
