His angry boss felt sure he was making a huge mistake and told the young Richard Starkey, "Ah, you'll be nothing!" prompting the drummer to make sure the foreman knew he was wrong a few months later.
He recalls, "I made enough money and I bought a car and I drove up, 'Yeah, what do you say now?'"
