Coldplay's Chris Martin and Paloma Faith also keen to collaborate on new song with Beatles legend Macca
Paul is showing impeccable taste with his new musical collaborators - Ed Sheeran and Jamie Oliver.
Paul is believed to have recorded the bass line and
backing vocals for the new track, which is being released to promote
Food Revolution Day, aimed at educating children about food.
TV chef Jamie, 39, has co-written a song with Ed, 24, to be released in May.
The pair met in Sydney on Friday night to finalise the recording plans and to confirm the stars who have agreed to take part.
Jamie has said: “I got an email this morning to call Paul, he’s just
put down bass on lyrics on a special anthem that I’ve written for Food
Revolution Day.
“I wrote it with Ed Sheeran. It’ll go out in
beginning of May, a viral campaign. We laid down the tracks and Ed set
me the task of going out and getting the band together so I said to
Paul, ‘Will you lay down bass?’ and he said yes!”
Other stars believed to be joining the mix include Chris Martin, 38,
and Paloma Faith, 33, into the sugary mix with the cherry on top going
to Jazzie B, 52, from Soul II Soul.
They plan to release the song free of charge to raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating.
