A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE BEATLES

1962 - UK single release: "Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You". 
 It spent 26 weeks on the chart peaking at No.17.Principally written by Paul 1958–1959 while truant from school at age 16.First issues of the single feature the Ringo version. The Andy White version of the track was included on The Beatles' debut UK album, Please Please Me,The Beatles' Hits EP and subsequent album releases on which "Love Me Do" was included.For the 1976 single re-issue and the 1982 "20th Anniversary" re-issue,the Andy White version was again used.The Ringo version was included on the albums Rarities(American version) and Past Masters,Volume One.The CD single issued on 2 Oct 1992 contains both versions.The Pete Best version remained unreleased until 1995,when it was included on the Anthology 1 album.

1963 - `Please Please Me' LP number 1, 22nd week (UK Record Retailer chart). 
1963 - 10.00-12.00am. BBC's `Saturday Club' broadcast (recorded 7 September 1963). 
1963 - Concert at the Concert Hall, Glasgow. 

1966 - `Yellow Submarine', 9th week in the Top 30 (UK New Musical Express chart). `Eleanor Rigby', 9th week in the Top 30 (UK New Musical Express chart). 

1966 - First issue of the `International Times', first British underground newspaper. 





1968 - `Hey Jude', number 1, 2nd week, 6th week in the Top 30 (Billboard).

1968 - Trident Studios. 6.00pm-1.00am. Recording: `Savoy Truffle' (overdub onto take 1); `Martha My Dear' (overdub onto take 1). Mono mixing: `Honey Pie' (remix 1, from take 1); `Martha My Dear' (remix 1, from take 1); `Dear Prudence' (remix 1, from take 1). Stereo mixing: `Honey Pie' (remix 1, from take 1); `Martha My Dear' (remix 1, from take 1). Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Barry Sheffield; 2nd Engineer: unknown. 





 

1973 - “Photograph/Down And Out” was issued as a single in UK, peaked at #8 in Great Britain.
 
2000 - With 340000 words and 1300 images spread out over 368 pages, The Beatles first memoir `The Beatles Anthology' is released by Chronicle Books on this date. 

2012 - Beatles fans break world singing "Love Me Do"in Liverpool .
