RINGO SNOWDEN GROVE AMPITHEATRE:TICKETS GO ON SALE TOMORROW

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) for the Snowden Grove Amphitheater appearance of music legend Ringo Starr, who will perform with his All-Starr Band on Sunday, Oct. 12, starting at 7 p.m.

The climax of Green Machine Entertainment's 2014 season schedule of events at Snowden Grove will mark the former Beatle drummer's first-ever appearance "under the stars" at the Southaven outdoor venue. Promoter Ed Atamian of Elite Entertainment Inc. said Ringo Starr promises to be a night to remember.

"Just a few weeks ago we played two sold-out shows in the Northeast, at Albany, N.Y. and Providence, R.I., and I can tell you first hand the shows were really amazing," Atamian said. "For two hours the audience loved it. Ringo himself was awesome and the band he brings with him is simply the best. Watching these artists perform, it's like multi shows all in one."
Having a talent like Ringo Starr play Snowden Grove will be an event in itself, however the band he will bring has its own "star power."

Joining him will be guitarist Steve Lukather, best known for his work with the rock band Toto, singer Richard Page, the former lead singer for "Mr. Mister," keyboardist Gregg Rolie, a founding member of Santana and Journey, along with multi-instrumentalist Todd Rundgren, drummer Gregg Bissonette, and vocalist-instrumentalist Warren Ham.But Ringo and his music remains the centerpiece of the attraction and how he has evolved his career since the days of the legendary group The Beatles continues to amaze his many fans.
"Ultimately what's most impressive about Ringo Starr isn't what he's been, but rather who he is," Rolling Stone rock critic David Wild is quoted as saying. "The man's great heart and soul, his wit and wisdom, Indeed, his music has always emanated from his warmth, humor, and exceptional skill, manifesting in the songs we know and love."
Ringo has enjoyed a successful, dynamic solo career as a singer, songwriter, drummer, collaborator, photographer and actor. Drawing inspiration from classic blues, soul, country, honky-tonk and rock 'n' roll, he continues to play an important recording, touring, and unofficial mentoring role in modern music."
Tickets are on sale tomorrow (Friday) at 10 a.m. through the Snowden Grove Amphitheater Box Office, through Ticketmaster, or by phone at 800-745-3000.
