The Beatles Art Show and Sale rocked The Hamptons this past weekend. The weather was beautiful and Fab Four fans from all over the Tri-State area came out to meet legendary Beatles Animator Ron Campbell, view and purchase art work and photographs from an expansive collection spanning decades, and enjoy the scenic views of an iconic Long Island Winery. Duck Walk Vineyards in Water Mill provided the beautiful backdrop and patrons enjoyed their famous Blueberry Port, Merlots and Cabernets poured all weekend by Pam and Mike. It was a truly wonderful experience as people poured into the Winery wearing their favorite Beatles shirts, many even bringing the kids with their Beatles gear in hand.
Put on by SpotOnMediaGroup, this year’s event was sponsored by The Indigo East End, Water Mill Building Supply, Long Island Trends and of course SpotOnMagazine.com. WEHM’s afternoon host Harry broadcast the EHM Home Stretch live Friday afternoon and evening. EHM Morning host Anthony and Dominica came by as well as WEHM Senior Account Rep Laura Sandberg-Levine and her husband, veteran WBLI DJ Al Levine on the Scene.
Ron Campbell chatted and took photos with attendees and created unique drawings throughout the show. “Ron doesn’t just give you a certificate of authenticity he makes it more authentic by drawing on the certificate itself ” said Scott Segelbaum who brings this event around the country, sometimes traveling with Ringo Starr himself. Much of the artwork you see at the shows come from the Beatles themselves. Rare photographs including some by Linda McCartney, who’s shot of Jimi Hendrix, also make up a big part of the show.
Live musicians played all weekend long and the crowd inside sang and danced along. Popular Long Island singer-songwriter Victoria Faiella and her husband Jeffrey Apisson, owner of Haute Durvo in Roslyn joined the VIP Party Friday night. You can see Victoria perform at The Great South Bay Music Festival this year along with Dave Diamond.
One of the highlights on Saturday was the appearance of Glenn Calderone and Lucy Diamond from the Radio Show,Beatles Across The Universe.Lucy and Glenn met the crowd and Lucy Diamond awed on the red carpet. They are truly one of a kind. Listen the show HERE:
