Fans were
sprinting to buy up tickets to Paul’s forthcoming
Target Field concert, and they ended up selling out in less time.
According to representatives from the Minnesota Twins, the concert
tickets that went on sale at 10 a.m. Monday morning were sold out in
just 20 minutes.
The Twins said that there would potentially be a limited number of seats released by the concert promoter that could go on sale over the next few months for the Aug. 2 concert.
The concert will be McCartney’s first at Target Field, but hardly his first in the Twin Cities. The Beatles first performed in Minneapolis in 1965. It was the mega-popular band’s only stop in the city.
McCartney has toured through Minneapolis as a solo act or with his band Wings a number of times, including a stop in 2005.
