PORT AUTHORITY TO HOST FEBRUARY 7TH COMMEMORATION OF 5OTH ANNIVERSARY OF BEATLES ARRIVAL AT JFK AIRPORT

Tribute will include unveiling of Beatles historical airport marker and live band playing group’s classic hit songs

The Buses are all filled, but you can still meet up at the main entrance to the Grand Hyatt. Those who don't get on the buses can all take the train together to JFK to the TWA Flight Center. It is probably faster than taking the Bus! See you there.

Love poetry? On Saturday at 3PM in the Ashram, Deco Freeman is bringing our Chicago Fets tradition of the Poetry Jam to New York City. We showcase original writing, dramatic readings of Beatles' lyrics and performance art, poems, prose and other creative interpretations. Bring yourself, bring your work, bring your spirit of spontaneity. This year’s Theme: "Beatles Anniversaries: My First Time."  Perhaps it was your first Beatles concert, your first time hearing I Want To Hold Your Hand, your first kiss to a Beatles song... let's hear it!

Also, if you see two fine gentlemen in suits with typewriters in The Cavern this weekend, step right up because Erick and Daniel of Poetry at Parties, and they're writing free Beatles-inspired haikus for you.

And that little lady with a post-it note dress? Talk to her to find out.

Love poetry... to a tune? Well, you should certainly sign up for Mark Hudson's songwriting class. His Saturday edition booked up in no time , so we've opened up a Sunday edition, 12:30PM. It's $30 - call Jackie at 1.866.the.fest to reserve your spot ASAP! (This just in: One spot has opened up for Saturday)

DONOVAN: Catch him in concert on Saturday afternoon, and speaking about Meditation and the White Album on Sunday.

A WHOLE NEW FEST STAGE:

Also set to bring the house down at the FEST this year is THE CAVERN - a modern spectacle of music, fashion, and art, that will feature lots of magical performances. THE CAVERN will pay homage to the birthplace of Beatlemania, in turn becoming the birthplace of things to come - holding true to the roots The Beatles planted along the way. The family tree of Beatlemania will expand into vines of fashion designers, branches of new rock n' roll bands and electric dancing leaves, extending from vinyl and synthetic DJ booths, falling and filling the Cavern's shaking dance floor with the stuff stars, like our Boys, are made of. Curated by Michelle Joni and Jessica Lapidos, and Francisco Fernandez Ferocious Few, THE CAVERN is something all
FEST attendees need to experience.

A supporter of The Cavern, BLOOMINGDALE'S is donating A Sgt. Pepper style jacket By Turnbull & Asser, a premier piece from their recent Beatles Collection to be raffled off for Charity at the FEST.

FRIDAY NIGHT IN THE CAVERN!!
8PM Fashion X Bands for Fest Fashion Week
11PM Michelle My Pelle - Beatles Cabaret with Yoko Sensibilities
MIDNIGHT - Yoko Ono Bad Dancer remake video launch party (Watch the teaser!) followed by an EPIC Beatles dance party.
