The intimate footage of the stars is to be offered at auction to mark the 50th anniversary since the singer recorded his first track.
The rare 8mm footage of Bolan, who was tragically killed in a car crash in 1977 at the age of 29, shows him on a boat with Starr and features some great close-ups of the rock stars alone and together hugging, singing and playing around.
Thought to be from 1972, the footage was given to Bolan's housekeeper when he was living at 47 Bilton Towers in London, along with many other pieces of memorabilia.

The amateur film - which is seven minutes long - begins by showing Starr sat at the bar having a drink with friends and pretending to hide behind his hands.
It then goes on to show Bolan and one other person sitting at the same bar, followed by footage taken on a yacht where again there are close-up shots of the Beatles drummer, which are  believed to have been filmed by Bolan.
The footage then cuts to the famous pair hugging and singing to the camera, and also shows Starr being rowed from the beach to a yacht which he boards and then proceeds to start fooling around with the people on board.

"This unseen and intimate footage shows both Marc and Ringo up close and personal, demonstrating the close friendship that they shared," said Omega Auctions auctioneer Paul Fairweather.
"Their fun-loving side really comes out, which is great to see and will undoubtedly generate a lot of interest from collectors and fans alike."
