The bus/state of the
art music studio rolls into the National Concert Hall this morning as
part of its first, and possibly only, trip to Ireland
The Black Eyed Peas have already performed on the bus and now young musicians from Dublin will get the chance.
The
bus, unveiled by Yoko Ono in Liverpool last May is traveling around
Europe and the US offering kids the chance to develop their musical
talents.
The bus has three on-board engineers,
young aspiring musicians learn how to write, perform, record, and
produce original songs, as well as produce and shoot music videos.
It
has been stationed in Knocknaheeny in Cork for the past week where it
has tutored kids involved in 'Music Generation', the U2-funded music
education programme.
Music Generation say people should come and check out the bus because "it's probably the only time it will be in Ireland."
The
bus pulls up in Essex Street East on Thursday morning for a public open
day. "The public open day is a chance for everyone to get on and see
the bus. It's a state-of-the-art music studio inside. The whole thing is
more akin to a gigantic truck than a bus," says Murphy.
