FOR SALE: JOHN´S MICROPHONE


The one he used to record 'Imagine'...

A microphone which John used to record 'Imagine' has been placed on sale, with bids starting at £1500. Produced by Phil Spector, the 'Imagine' album is perhaps the most potent of John´s post-Beatles output, it remains John's best selling solo release.
Now studio equipment used to record the album has emerged online. Amongst the studio trickery on offer are all manner of modulators and tape recorders, but perhaps the items of most interest are a pair of Neumann microphones.
