Music industry salutes Paul MCartney
Fresh off his headlining performance at Bonnaroo in Manchester,
Tenn., Paul has a couple of days off before resuming his "Out
There" tour Saturday in Warsaw, Poland. The outing will wind down in
August.
And after all of these years, Paul admits
he still gets some jitters before taking the stage. "I still get a
little excited, a little nervous but I just push it to one side," he
said in a short video
from this month's two sold-out shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn,
N.Y. "I say, 'Paul, these people are your friends. They love you and you
love them. So go and sing, do your best and have a great show.' And I
say, 'Thank you conscience.' And that's how we do it."
He
continues to do just that night after night in 2013, as the former
Beatle shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. He performed nearly
three hours at Bonnaroo
last weekend, and has been introducing different material into his set,
including "Eight Days a Week," a classic that he played for the first time live on the current tour.
