The former Beatles star is good friends with Welsh band Super Furry Animals, and even featured on their 2001 song Receptacle for the Respectable.
Singer Gruff Rhys has spoken about how the group became pals with Paul, revealing they get on well because he has such a great sense of humour.
“Cian [Ciaran] from Super Furry Animals organised [for Paul to work on the track]. We were at an awards ceremony in 1999 and Cian realised that Paul McCartney was p**sing beside him at the next urinal. We were hammered and Cian was giving him this speech, ‘Let me do a remix of your tunes, it’ll be the best thing you’ve ever heard in your life,’” he told Q magazine ....
