John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney performed two concerts, for which they were paid £850 each.

The Fab Four played two back-to-back shows due to the sheer demand of the tickets starting on October 16.
The tour was huge for British fans with incredible artists such as Roy Orbison, The Rustiks, Sounds Incorporated, Michael Haslam, The Remo Four, Tommy Quickly, and Mary Wells on the support act list, along with Bob Bain as compère.

Beatlemania returns once again this week with the release of three-part documentary The Beatles: Get Back, from Oscar-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, who directed The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

It will feature previously unseen footage showcasing the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that bounced around the band. Private archives have been specially released showing their final live performance on the rooftop of London's Savile Row in its entirety.

Both the Hull shows consisted of hit after hit on the setlist. Fans were lucky enough to hear Some Other Guy , Do You Want To Know A Secret, Love Me Do, From Me To You, Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, and Twist And Shout live and in person.

The doors would have opened around 6.00pm and The Beatles would have been introduced to the stage around 8.30pm. Some of the 800 fans had been waiting outside the venue for days to get their hands on tickets. They anticipated so much of a queue for the box office that they opened at one minute past midnight to get rid of the congestion.
It was after this show that they had a small break, taking a couple of days off from the tour before heading up north to Edinburgh. Hull’s ABC Cinema - later named Cannon - was demolished in 2004.

It would have been a huge year for The Beatles in 1964, with the band having completed a World Tour over the summer taking the Fab Four from Copenhagen to Auckland.
