Ringo dropped a surprise new song on Wednesday to celebrate the United Nations' International Day of Peace.
Ringo co-wrote "Now The Time Has Come" with producer Bruce Sugar, collaborating with All-Starr Band member Richard Page from Mr. Mister, former Men At Work frontman and All-Starr alumnus Colin Hay, Billy Valentine and social media musicians Casey McPherson, Jams Maslow, Christian Collins, Maddi Jane and Wesley Stromberg.
In a statement, Ringo says that, "I worked on this record with peace and love. It was a joy to be part of this project. Making this record was incredibly personal for me. Against the backdrop of war or social unrest, I always turn to music as a refuge. I hope this record can offer people solace and inspired them to do all they can to bring peace to their communities."
The song is also part of the #HugForPeace social media campaign.
