STELLA AND MEN´S FASHION WEEK IN JUNE 2017

Stella McCartney, recently confirmed longtime rumors of brand expansion into the realm of menswear. Her brush with the more masculine side begins with the spring 2017 collection, which will debut during Men’s Fashion Week in June.

This is big news for the label, as Stella has primarily focused on cornering the women’s market with her signature looks since launching her fashion house in 2001. Her collections have since expanded to include ready-to-wear, accessories, lingerie, eye wear, fragrance, and a kids’ wear line, which she introduced in 2010.

Stella is most known for an aesthetic that emphasizes classic yet trend-forward separates, slouchy tailoring, comfortable knits, and an overall effortless aesthetic, all of which will easily translate to men’s looks. Her menswear experience actually dates back to the early days of her design career, when she apprenticed for her father’s tailor, Edward Sexton, on Savile Row.
