Stella McCartney - What's In My Bag?
New "What's In My Bag?" episode with Stella. She talks about the poetry of Tim Hardin's music, listening to The Beach Boys with her father, Paul, and the artist she wants her young girls to be like when they get older.
In 1995, she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and
Design in London with her supermodel friends Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss,
and Yasmin Le Bon modeling her graduation collection at the school's
runway show. Two years later, she was appointed Creative Director of
Parisian fashion house Chloé. In 2001, McCartney launched her own
fashion house in conjunction with Gucci Group; she now runs seventeen
Stella McCartney stores in locations like West Hollywood, CA; Mayfair,
London; Soho, New York and Palais Royal, Paris.
Over the course of her career McCartney has expanded her brand into
perfume, organic skincare, lingerie, children's clothing, and activewear
lines. She was appointed Great Britain's Creative Director for the 2012
Olympic and Paralympic Games, marking the first time a top designer had
designed all activewear worn by a nation's competitive teams in both
games. McCartney has received awards from Glamour, Elle, and the British Fashion Council, and was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2013.
