JOHN´S HAIR HAS SOLD FOR $35,000 AT AUCTION

A lock of John's hair cut off for a film role has sold for $35,000 at auction.
Heritage Auctions in Dallas, Texas, announced on Saturday that the four-inch lock of hair was bought by a U.K. based collector.

"It was a good size with quite a lot of strands," the company's spokesperson Garry Schrum told the BBC.
A German hairdresser kept the tuft of hair from Lennon's head after giving him a haircut before the Beatles legend started filming comedy How I Won The War, which also starred Michael Crawford, in 1967.
The unusual item was up for auction along with several other pieces of Beatles-related memorabilia.
A photograph of the band signed by Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, went for $42,500 (26,562), while a sealed copy of the band's "butcher" cover for the Yesterday and Today album sold for a whopping $125,000.
