Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Paul Simon and Taylor Swift will form the all-star musical roster for Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary special, which airs February 15th at 8 p.m. EST on NBC. The network teased the three-hour event on Monday by revealing its eclectic lineup in a pair of video clips.

The comedic and acting talent is equally impressive – spanning cast members both recent (Kristen Wiig, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey) and old-school (Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray), along with memorable former hosts ("Five Timers Club" veterans like Alec Baldwin, Christopher Walken and Tom Hanks).

The other familiar faces rounding out the list are Jack Nicholson, Jim Carrey, Peyton Manning, Chris Rock, Garrett Morris, Andy Samberg, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short, Betty White, Emma Stone, Derek Jeter, Jimmy Fallon, Dana Carvey, Adam Sandler, Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld, Molly Shannon and Mike Meyers.
The most surprising addition could be Murphy, whose relationship with the iconic sketch series has been rocky ever since his 1984 departure. "It's just timing," the comedian-musician told News One last week, revealing his involvement with the special. "It just never worked out where the timing was right for me to do it. . . They're actually having a 40th anniversary I think in two weeks. I'm going to that, and that'll be the first time I've been back since I left."
The show's 40th anniversary will also be honored with "Saturday Night Live: The Exhibition," an immersive exhibit which features "original scripts, set pieces, props, costumes, masks and interactive elements" from legendary SNL sketches. The showcase will debut at New York City's Premier on 5th exhibition center this spring.
