A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE BEATLES

February 18th
1933: Yoko Ono was born in Tokyo. 




1961:  Performance at Aintree Institute in Aintree, Liverpool with the Ravens, Mark Peters and the Cyclones and the Night Boppers. 

1962: Performance at the Casbah Coffee Club

1963: The Beatles performed two shows on this day at the Queen's Hall in Widnes - their fifth and final appearance at the venue. The concerts were promoted by Brian Epstein's NEMS company. Tickets for both the 'houses' sold out well in advance.


1964: The Beatles meet Cassius Clay

1965: Recording, mixing: Ticket To Ride, Another Girl, I Need You, Yes It Is, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, The Night Before, You Like Me Too Much, If You've Got Trouble, Tell Me What You See

1965:  Northern Songs is floated on the stock exchange
(This) eventually led to the songwriters (Lennon and McCartney) losing the rights to their songs.

1980: Ringo Starr begins filming the movie "Caveman."


 
1993: Paul's concert in Milan, Italy. Start of `The New World Tour'
