2015 BENEFIT CONCERT IN ST. LOUIS WILL BE SPONSORED BY BOEING AND AMEREN ENERGY
The American Music Project: Voices for Veterans, an initiative of Give US Your Poor (http://www.giveusyourpoor.org/AMPvoicesforveterans/index.php),
has set out on a mission to end veteran homelessness. Tapping into the
power of music, and the reach of popular musicians, the group aims to
raise awareness, support targeted housing services, and incite action to
end veteran homelessness in the U.S.
Ringo is supporting the cause through an
auction to meet him and attend the Oct. 3 concert by Ringo Starr and His
All Starr Band at the Fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis. Bids can be
submitted at https://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/640900
What’s more, Boeing and Ameren Energy have signed on as sponsors of a
2015 benefit concert in St. Louis. Grammy-winning singer, songwriter,
and author Steve Earle supported the American Music Project: Voices for
Veterans at his St. Louis and Kansas City shows in June, and helped
build support for next year’s concert. Performers will be announced at a
later date. The concert is being developed in partnership with
Eisenhower Fellowships, St. Louis Chapter.
